Unable to delete Blackberry emails

There is an issue where you are unable to delete mails from the blackberry handset usuing the delete function or even the delete prior. It looks like when the email database design gets updated this occurs. You need to go into Blackberry Desktop Manager and go to Backup and Restore, then click Advanced. Then select Messages in the right pane. Once you have that selected, click the Clear button and the Close.
